All forms of insecurity that occur in tourist destinations, whether from war, political upheaval or crime, negatively affect their image and can cause a decrease in tourist arrivals. The existence of armed conflicts increases the number of refugees, exiles and separated families.
When tourism is not managed well, societal tensions remain, local communities' identification with their heritage is weakened, responsible practices towards tourist sites suffer, and local values and culture suffer. affected.
Community empowerment and involvement, capacity building, training and public-private partnerships are key factors in promoting a culture of peace in post-conflict societies through tourism.
The role of tourism in consolidating peace is also materialized through its contribution to poverty reduction and cultural and environmental conservation. However, to consolidate peace, we need to provide the population with opportunities to build a better future for themselves; generate jobs and give them hope, which is why we collaborating with other Associations, Companies and Government entities, offer opportunities through online training or promotion of job offers in the tourism sector; as we are convinced that tourism plays a key role in peacebuilding and reconciliation processes.
